The Revival is a theater and education company that was founded at the birthplace of improvisation in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood. The Revival uses improvisation - and its underlying skill set - to affect personal, professional and social change both at home in Chicago and around the world.
Erica Elam has delivered corporate workshops to improve communication and creativity for companies including Google, Anheuser-Busch, JP Morgan Chase, Kellogg Co., and SC Johnson. She has served as visiting faculty at Princeton University, and has led workshops at Dartmouth, Stanford, Notre Dame, Northwestern and many other top universities. Erica also travels the world with the critically-acclaimed musical improv group, Baby Wants Candy.
Tim Soszko teaches, directs and performs at The Revival. Recent clients include: FedEx, DePaul University, Center for Bright Beams and Fermi Lab. Tim also Directs The Revival’s science-based improv show, The Excited State.
James Dolan completed his PhD in physics and nanophotonics at the University of Cambridge. Prior to Cambridge, James graduated with a Master’s degree in engineering from the University of Oxford. He recently worked as a postdoctoral researcher on reconfigurable optical materials at the Institute for Molecular Engineering, Argonne National Laboratory and the University of Chicago.
